Rough Edges on your layouts?? How??

Posted by Maya Ariffin |

Helloooo.... Wow!! It's been a long time I abandon this blog... Sorry my dear readers... :S

Anyway, I was asked by a new scrapper about how to do the rough edges on the paper?? As she noticed on my latest layouts, I distress the CS. :)

So, here I'll show you the tool that you need for distressing CS or even PP.

Edge Distresser by Heidi Swapp
Cute isn't it?

Tim Holtz
For masculine feel ;)

Making Memories
This is what I have :)

If you don't have any of the above tool, you can use.....

Scissor!!
Step 1
You rough the edge of your desired PP/CS. But make sure you know how to apply the pressure. If your PP/CS is thin & soft, you need to put a very light/soft pressure. If the PP/CS is thick then you can apply a little bit pressure.. I suggest you try it on a scrap of unused PP/CS (yes, the leftover please..), then you can see the difference between every PP/CS that you're going to distress. Am I using a simple English here? LOL..

Step 2
After you have the desired effect, it's already done! Or if you wanted to make it a burn look to the edges, you can inked it with dark or natural colour. Or you can inked it with fancy colour, it is up to your creativity.

Easy, isn't it? Hope this simple steps will help you a lot.

That's all for now, thanks for reading. :)
